Initially set to take place on September 7, the bash was postponed, with the source telling the Sun that Meghan would not have been able to attend as she was undertaking a mini tour of Europe with Prince Harry at the time. In the days that followed, meetings were held at Clarence House, then Prince Charles' home, including secretaries from the four households, before discussions moved to Buckingham Palace. Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 41, reportedly had their hearts set on a home in the heart of the Queen's Berkshire residence but were left disappointed, according to claims published in Katie Nicholl's book, The New Royals. British actor Idris Elba isn't particularly close to the bride or the groom, according to Bustle, but he was invited to their wedding because of his connections to The Prince's Trust, Prince Charles's charity. "I left school at 16 with dreams of attending the National Youth Music Theatre but was disheartened when I realised how much it would cost," Elba said.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 40, took to Windsor to inspect the sea of floral tributes laid outside the gates of the Berkshire estate in tribute to the late Queen, who died in Balmoral on Thursday, aged 96. The painting was commissioned by the trustees of the National Portrait Gallery in London in 1950, and Herbert James Gunn was personally chosen by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to paint the portrait. The fine-art photographer Paul Laib photographed James Gunn in the Drawing Room of Royal Lodge in 1950 during Gunn's preparations for the painting. Gunn's working sketch for the painting was part of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother's art collection at Clarence House. Dressed In Time
On their wedding day she wore an understated long-sleeve wedding gown, which she co-designed with Ove Harder Finseth, down the aisle. The lace-topped wedding dress that fashion designer Ekaterina Malysheva wore for her 2017 wedding to Prince Ernst August Jr. had a neckline that dipped considerably lower. Designed by Sandra Mansour, a friend of the bride's, the gown also featured intricate beadwork that incorporated pearls. Whether she's donning a hot pink or lime green suit, she certainly doesn't shy away from making bold fashion statements. Although her use of color has evolved over time, the Queen seems to have always had an eye for style.
Lady Amelia Windsor wowed on the runway today for London Fashion Week where she wore several different colourful outfits. The funeral was a formal state event and took place at Westminster Abbey. The special service was conducted by David Hoyle, the Dean of Westminster, with Prime Minister Liz Truss and Patricia Scotland, the secretary-general of the Commonwealth, reading Lessons. Lady Marina Windsor, 30, was one of the two thousand people in attendance at Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday. Pantyhose definitely made a comeback, thanks to Duchess Kate and her barely-there hosiery. According to Fortune, sales of sheer nude pantyhose had a surge in popularity after her engagement announcement in 2010.

She is a fresh look that is appreciated after looking at the same fashions repeated over and over again. Gabriella, who is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, is marrying Thomas Kingston today at Windsor Castle. The bride looked stunning as she arrived for the ceremony, wearing a gown by Luisa Beccaria with an elaborate veil. As Gabriella stepped out at the chapel, fans got the very first glimpse at her royal wedding tiara.
The seeds for Lady Ella’s choice of Beccaria as her wedding dress designer were first sown when she went to go see her collection in London years ago. “I’m very good friends with her parents—they come to my country house in Sicily sometimes,” the designer says. Shortly thereafter, Lady Ella started wearing Beccaria’s feminine, whimsical pieces to everything from friends’ weddings to meetings with the Queen. “Then, she came to visit us in Sicily summers ago, and she became friends with my two daughters. After she accepted the proposal, she flew to Milan in November and saw all of our creations. We have a ready-to-wear and a couture department, and we have an atelier from when I was doing proper couture in Paris.
Tiaras are not for every day
Perhaps there’s a tad more “toe” wiggle room when it comes to pedicures. You can buy the nail polish the Duchess of Cambridge wore on her wedding day. David Emanuel, designer of the famous dress, told Entertainment Tonight, "This dress had to be young and sweet, but it also had to be glam because she was going to be a royal princess." And glam it was. It featured a royal record-breaking 25-foot-long train, which was embroidered by hand with pearls and sequins. The dress definitely made a statement and was emulated for decades, but it's certainly not a dress you'd want to wear today. Playing dress up like a princess without a tiara would be like dressing up like a cowboy without the hat. But when it comes to being an actual princess, wearing a tiara isn’t always a given.

When Prince Harry showed up at a Remembrance Day parade event with a full out beard while wearing his senior Blues and Royals officer uniform, some said he was violating British military law even though he’d long been retired from service. According to the Daily Mail, as long as it’s all “neat and tidy,” facial hair is A-okay. As it turns out Harry’s grandfather Prince Philip sported a beard while serving in the Royal Navy, and the Queen became besotted with him back in his beard wearing heyday. However, Vanity Fair reported, it’s the Queen who isn’t a fan of her grandson’s hipster look. She said that she “intensely dislikes facial hair,” and expects her grandson to remove it “sooner rather than later” according to the Telegraph. Penguin Random House – which also released Meghan's children's book The Bench – initially said that Harry's memoirs were due out in 'late 2022'.
Harry had always been one of her favourites and she only met her new great-granddaughter Lilibet, named after the Queen’s family nickname, for the first time during her Platinum Jubilee in June. Much as they can see the benefit Harry and Meghan would have brought as working royals, they have been deeply hurt by the Sussexes 'speaking their truth'. It will be interesting to see whether King Charles issues new Letters Patent to remove their titles and confirm they have no HRH, now that their parents are no longer working royals. Meghan has told friends that she much prefers building a family life in Montecito, California, with Archie, three, and Lilibet, 16 months, rather than in the UK, and it is unlikely she would ever return to live here.
